OK....I'm opting out of one of the biggest phenomenas of the 21st century....Facebook.
When I initially opted in, I thought it would be fun and a great way to just express myself, share thoughts, re-connect with friends. It's gotten much bigger than that for me. I find myself spending too much time on it and have received much backlash for posting my own thoughts, that I'm out....done....over it!
Some of the friends I've reconnected with, I hope we can stay connect via the phone or in person. Some of the friends I'm made through other means, I hope some of us can stay friends and some I don't really care to be friends with but was just too nice to de-friend them.
And of course family, well family is family. You have to love them for being family, but I guess you don't have to have them in your daily life :)
So, today, I posted that I'm deactivating my account and that I wasn't looking for responses and I TRULY hope that I don't get any as I don't want to deal with it any longer.
I'll go back to my much simplier life.....where things were easier (well to some degree) but at least it was easier for me.
It was fun while it lasted (well sort of) and I'll miss the games more than anything, but surely there are better things to do in life. Like most things, I get addicted to them rather quickly.
So I'm looking forward to re-entering my life of scrapbook and ebay.
