For those who know me it will come as no suprise, and for the who don't, well it still shouldn't be a surprise. The southerness in me has always been aware of looking on the brigther side of things, or looking out of my ROSE COLORED GLASSES.
I like my glasses, it brings comfort, beauty and a world that one might not see without these special glasses. I believe I picked up this trait from my Mama, a true Southern lady who saw the best in everything!
There have been times, in the business world especially, that I've been accused of being Ms. Polyanna or living with the "Disney" syndrome but that's acceptable to me as I enjoy my having a positive outlook and being a happy person.
Oh most definitely, there are days that these glasses become a little smudged and need to be cleaned, but ultimately, they continue to work for me.
I'm also willing to share these glasses of mine with any of my love ones who might need to have a pick me up. Well, apparently, I lent my glasses out and failed to have them returned, as the last couple of days, I just couldn't find them.
Talking to my niece tonight, she told me that she has my rose colored glasses and she wasn't going to return them right now but she would share my great nephew's green glasses with me .....as it is always more fun to see through the eyes of a child.
I will consider this more than a fair trade for now. I'm not giving up my Rose Colored glasses, but I do think I'll wear the Green Colored glasses for a while!
I consider myself lucky, so remember to always look out into the world with your colored glasses and see the blessings and beauty!
You are fabulous in your rose colored glasses!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it! I too am a card carrying member of the Rose Colored glasses Club - a glass half full kind of girl! There is so much negativity out there all ready - I don't want to add to it. My Nana always said, "This Too shall pass" and "When God brings ya to it, He will bring you thru it". SO I I guess that no matter what craziness surrounds me, I always believe that everything is just gonna be okay in the end! Rose colored glasses ROCK!!! I love you Caryn!

ReplyDeletelisa, you quoted one of my favs, "this too shall pass." i've tried to find an INEXPENSIVE silver bracelet with this saying as I wanted to send one to Caryn and have one for myself. So far, just found some that were out of my budget range but I'll keep looking. and i love the new quote...God bring u thru it.
ReplyDeletesissy, i love you and look forward to more updates but i think that's a splendid idea to borrow jack's glasses for the time being. but i know you and very seldom do you lose your "rose colored glasses" so I have great faith you'll have 'em back in no time.
